2020 Conference on Landscape Architecture Is Still Moving Forward

Scheduled for October 2-5 in Miami Beach

For a safer, greener, and healthier way to travel to the ASLA show, the association suggests using Amtrak, which offers routes to Miami Beach from all over the United States.

ASLA recently put out a statement of commitment to hold the 2020 Conference on Landscape Architecture in Miami Beach, October 2-5, promising to have all attendees' health and safety in mind. As the event gets closer, the association will be providing continuous updates and developments, including physical distancing and other guidelines at venues where meetings and events are being held.

"Our profession, communities, and families are facing enormous challenges during this frightening pandemic," says Wendy Miller, FASLA, president. "Every landscape architect knows that the places and spaces we create will be needed more than ever. That's why I am going to the 2020 ASLA Conference on Landscape Architecture."

The statement pointed out that there is an "all-star list of speakers" scheduled who will address the innovations occurring in the industry and "inspire you to integrate what you learn in stunning new ways... to challenge you to think differently, stimulate your inherent curiosity, shift your perspective, expose you to new ideas, and most importantly remind you that landscape architecture is about people."

Summing up the importance of the show, the news release maintained, "The ASLA Conference has always served as the place for our diverse community to gather. It provides a unique environment to meet the people behind the cutting-edge work that's launching our profession into new territory. Plus, you'll get to network and make lasting connections with landscape architects of all ages and career stages who are making the greatest impact in our natural environment and our industry."
