Canal Street Revitalization New Orleans, Louisiana

The $17 million renovation of New Orleans' historic main street, Canal Street, not only reintroduced the streetcar back to the corridor, but created a foundation for the revitalization of the entire commercial corridor. TDCL was the landscape architect and urban designer.

Woldenberg Riverfront Park New Orleans, Louisiana

Torre Design designed this two-mile-long riverfront park linking Canal Street to historic Jackson Square in the Vieux Carr????(R)???(C). The entire park is composed of lightweight soil and planting atop the wharf apron, where warehouses once stood.

Scaly Slimy Spectacular! The Reptile and Amphibian Complex, Zoo Atlanta, Atlanta, Georgia

TDCL was the architect, landscape architect and exhibit designer for this 20,000 square foot, $16 million exhibit at Zoo Atlanta in Georgia. It is the first LEED Gold reptile complex in the world.

Water Court, University Medical Center, New Orleans, Louisiana

TDCL was the landscape architect and urban planner for NBBJ/Blitch Knevel Architects on this state of the art $1 billion medical complex in New Orleans. This photo is of the Water Court, a modern interpretation of the historic courtyard in the Vieux Carr????(R)???(C).

Amazonia Exhibit, Mesker Park Zoo, Evansville, Indiana

TDCL recreated the fecund rainforests of South America in this $20 million, 20,000 square foot Amazonia Complex in Evansville, Indiana. TDCL provided architectural, landscape architectural and exhibit design services.


Torre Design Consortium, Ltd. (TDCL) was formed in 1980 and has produced many award-winning projects for the public and private sectors. It offers landscape architecture, architecture, graphic, interior and exhibit design services. Many of the developments completed in this waterfront city are the result of the firm's specialty in zoological gardens. Beginning with the Audubon Zoo over 36 years ago, Torre Design has completed master plans and designs for over 45 other zoological facilities and aquariums.
