As I near the conclusion of the second year of my term as President, I can't help but reflect on the roller coaster (and sometimes dumpster fire) of this past couple of years have been with a sense of accomplishment and pride.

Thanks to the support of a great group of board members we stayed the course and managed to keep the chapter afloat amid financial challenges, association management transitions, outside stresses, and all the mental gymnastics we had to navigate during the pandemic personally. We were still able to improve chapter operations, offer virtual education opportunities and in-person field sessions that also showcased the work we do as Landscape Architects! Sure, the plans we made had to be tossed and/or rewritten, budgets had to be adjusted and in-person everything had to be suspended but it forced us to think outside of the box and ultimately proved that we are resilient.

I am honored to have served as your Chapter President and look forward to continuing my service as Past President in support of Alex Thill. I can't wait to see what Alex has in store and what we can all accomplish together as a board in 2022.

Thank you to all who participated in the Virtual WI ASLA Annual Meeting and Ethics Course a couple of weeks ago. It was great to see some familiar and new faces. We want to extend a big thank you to Reggie Jackson of Nurturing Diversity Partners for his phenomenal presentation on the Hidden Impacts of Segregation. We are excited about having Reggie back to speak with us again at our Spring Conference!
