Will We See You in St. Louis?
LASN Exhibiting at NRPA Annual Conference

The NRPA, a nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing park, recreation and conservation efforts, is hosting their annual conference in St. Louis, Missouri from Oct. 5-8. LASN will be in booth #912.

The National Recreation and Park Association's Annual Conference hosts thousands of park and recreation professionals for networking activities, education sessions, and, of course, a trade show where attendees can get a look at the latest products in parks and recreation.

The conference includes over 200 education sessions with the opportunity to earn up to 1.7 CEUs total. Sessions are divided into eleven tracks, including planning, design and maintenance, conservation, and professional development. Traditionally, NRPA sponsors the revitalization or creation of a local park in the host community as part of the Parks Build Community initiative. This year, they partnered with Great Rivers Greenway and the city of Wellston, Missouri to create Trojan Park. The grand opening will take place on Saturday, Oct. 8 at 10 a.m. Conference attendees are invited.

Registration starts at $179 for an exhibit hall only pass for NRPA members. Nonmembers pay $229 for exhibit hall passes. Professional members can get the full registration package, which includes access to all education sessions, the NRPA general session, opening and closing sessions, and research poster sessions in addition to exhibit hall admission, for $659; nonmembers for $899. There are discounts for students and young professionals under 35.

Non-member pricing includes a one-year NRPA membership. Prices increase with on-site registration.

For an additional $100, attendees can participate in the golf tournament taking place on Wednesday, Oct. 5 at The Courses at Forest Park. The entry fee includes transportation, green fees, cart fees, range balls, box lunch, on course beverages, light appetizers, on course contests, and contest awards.
