The Wisconsin Green Industry Federation (WGIF) Online Auction will be open for bidding March 17 and continue through April 1. The auction is open to the general public at www.BiddingForGood.com/wgif.

For every item sold in the WGIF Online Auction, WGIF will donate $5 to Make-a-Wish Wisconsin, the charity whose mission is to help kids from Wisconsin who are coping with life-altering medical conditions. Other funds raised will be used to support efforts promoting healthy and sustainable landscaping in residential and commercial environments. WGIF also supports endeavors to educate landscape professionals and the public on the environmental and health benefits provided by healthy landscapes in our environment.

According to the WGIF, these professionals, and their products and services, enhance the quality of life and add value to homes and businesses. This work tremendously benefits the environment by absorbing carbon, producing oxygen, cooling homes, and providing habitat for wildlife. The Wisconsin Green Industry Federation is the single largest organizational representative of the Green industry in Wisconsin. The associations that comprise the Wisconsin Green Industry Federation are the Commercial Flower Growers of Wisconsin (CFGW), "Gardens Beautiful" Garden Centers (GBGC), Wisconsin Nursery and Landscape Association (WNLA), Wisconsin Sod Producers Association (WSPA), and the Wisconsin Christmas Tree Producers Association (WCTPA).
