WGA Recognizes Housing Importance, Reports NAHB

The NAHB Issued Support for the WGA's Support for Housing

The WGA declared that housing is, "foundational to economic development and community vitality."

The National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) issued a statement of support for the actions of the Western Governors' Association (WGA) in their recognition of the importance of housing. The WGA is a bipartisan organization that represents the governors of 22 western states and territories.

The WGA declared that housing is "foundational to economic development and community vitality." The specific action they are calling for is federal housing program improvement, particularly the Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) program.

"As a long-standing partner and supporter of WGA, NAHB commends the WGA for making housing and homeownership an important national priority," said NAHB Chairman Jerry Konter. "We look forward to continuing to work with WGA to provide attainable, affordable housing for all Americans."
