Western Big Game Seasonal Habitat and Migration Corridors Fund Requests Proposals

Grants Would Support Improved Habitats on Federal Land

Big game like elk, mule deer, and pronghorn will be prioritized in this grant opportunity through NFWF.

The National Fish and Wildlife Foundation (NFWF) along with the Bureau of Land Management (BLM), the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (FWS), the U.S. Forest Service (FS), Natural Resource Conservation Service (NRCS), and ConocoPhillips, is asking for proposals for improved habitat quality, seasonal habitats, stopover areas, and migration spaces within federal lands. Funding is expected to be around $3 million.

Projects within Arizona, California, Colorado, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, Oregon, Utah, Washington, and Wyoming or Native Nations will be eligible for funding. Proposals need to outline how projects will address state game and fish department priorities as identified in state action plans or specific priority projects on tribal land.
