U.S. Play Coalition Announces New Service Award

Honoring The Work Of Stephanie P. Garst

USPC Executive Director Stephanie P. Garst received the first Distinguished Service Award named in her honor.
USPC Executive Director Stephanie P. Garst received the first Distinguished Service Award named in her honor.

At the 2024 National conference on the Value of Play, the Eppley Center for Parks and Public Lands and the U.S. Play Coalition (USPC) presented long-time Executive Director Stephanie P. Garst with the first Stephanie P. Garst Distinguished Service Award. As the second official annual USPC award, this honor is reserved for individuals whose presence and efforts continually make contributions to the movement of play, which Garst has done as the USPC Executive Director over the last decade. Beyond her role with the USPC, Garst is also a Lecturer at Clemson University in the Parks, Recreation, and Event Management Program.
