Tree Micros and How They Make a Macro Difference in Tree Health (5min) First, a review of what makes a tree healthy and less susceptible to pests & diseases. Water requirements, nutrient needs, sun/light, air quality With a review of water management tools designed for trees (5min) Then start with a brief introduction to what Integrated Pest Management entails. As defined by DPR (10min) Review the different technologies used to apply micronutrients and chemicals. Canopy Spray, Bark Spray, Soil Injection, Soil Drench, Trunk Injection, Removal Discuss pros and cons of each. (30min) Review and work through how different micronutrients effect a plant and how they play a key role in defense mechanisms again: Scale, Aphids, Mites, Whitefly, Thrips, Bark Beetles, Anthracnose, Bot Canker, Caterpillars (10min) There will be an introduction to plant growth regulators and how they work and expected results for: Growth reduction, drought resistance, root development, disease resistance and micronutrient distribution.
