All arborists, urban foresters, Landscape Architects, landscapers, environmental educators, parents, and community volunteers who have been involved in integrating trees in and around school campuses are called to participate in a UCLA study assessing tree canopy impact on K-12 campuses in California.
The UCLA Luskin Center for Innovation and lead investigator Dr. Kirsten Schwarz are assessing the policies that reinforce the extensive use of asphalt and other impervious covers, land cover patterns on campuses, and the benefits of tree microclimates, among other social impacts.
