Location-specific, relevant and scientifically-supported information including the use of recommended search engines to identify the right trees for use in parks, school sites, commercial settings, and in neighborhoods. It will also include invasive species to avoid.?,?

About the Speaker:
Janet Hartin
Janet is a UC Cooperative Extension environmental horticulture advisor for San Bernardino, Riverside, and Los Angeles Counties specializing in urban forestry. She has served as lead researcher on over 20 research projects and is a highly sought after 'green industry' speaker both nationally and internationally, presenting over 1,500 talks throughout her career. She specializes in identification and maintenance of drought, heat, and pest resistant landscape trees and their minimum irrigation needs. She is also the Co-Leader of the UC Agriculture and Natural Resources Environmental Horticulture Program Team, Chairperson for the UC ANR Associate Editors for the publication unit, and director of the Riverside and San Bernardino County Master Gardener programs.
