by Rebecca Radtke, LASN

Join Dr. Nochian to learn about design principles that make landscapes water wise in this OnDemand course.

Water wise landscaping is more than just conservation. On Sept. 18, Landscape Architect with Landoos, Ash Nochian, Ph.D. hosted a LandscapeWebinars.org session titled "Water Wise Landscaping" that explored design tips to create beautiful, diverse, and low-water landscapes that take landscape elements like soil, plant selection, slope, and more into consideration to be water conscious.

Dr. Nochian explained how to achieve healthy, beautiful designs that are water wise through his own experience and examples. He also utilized videos to depict conversions that depict the complete process.

The course went through every element of the landscape to best adapt this important style of design. For example, he talked about the use of drip irrigation and its role in developing a responsible design.

This session is available OnDemand and can be viewed anytime, anywhere. Click here for more information: https://landscapewebinars.org/landscape-webinars/webinar/water-wise-design

Webinar Description:
As freshwater scarcity becomes an increasingly critical issue both locally and globally, designing landscapes that prioritize water efficiency is more essential than ever. Through real-world examples and visuals, we'll explore-and take a deep dive into-how to create beautiful, diverse, and low-water landscapes that are both functional and inspiring. The session will also highlight common design and implementation pitfalls, offering practical strategies to avoid them.
