About the Speakers:

Terri Maguire

A Bachelor's degree in Design led me into a sales position that had nothing to do with design. Playing around at gardening with no knowledge led me to killing a lot of plants, which led me to taking horticulture classes. A certificate in Horticulture, and Landscape architecture gave me the courage to start my own landscape design business. My frustration with the installation and maintenance side prompted me to move into the maintenance part of the landscape industry to see if I could affect change by training and sharing my knowledge. I obtained my Qualified applicators license, 2 Landscape Technician Certifications and then my Arborist Certification. 26 years later I'm still passionate about the importance of training and sharing information in the hopes of improving industry standards with the labor force.
