Arbor Land Design was formed in 2021 through the strategic merger of two highly respected local firms: Arbor Engineering - established in 1976 - and Fant Reichert Fogleman - founded in 2005. Arbor Land Design offers a seamless blend of technical expertise and creative vision. What sets Arbor apart is their integrated, multidisciplinary approach. With in-house civil engineers, surveyors, planners, and Landscape Architects, they provide comprehensive, cohesive solutions from concept to completion. Whether designing intimate residential gardens or large-scale parks, civic spaces, and communities, they design environments that not only serve their purpose but also inspire those who experience them. Rooted in Greenville and serving the broader Upstate, Arbor Land Design brings nearly 50 years of collective knowledge, regional insight, and design sensitivity to every project. Their work is defined by lasting quality, a deep connection to place, and a commitment to creating spaces that grow more meaningful over time.

Falls Park on the Reedy; Greenville, SC
Falls Park on the Reedy is a 32-acre urban park in downtown Greenville, South Carolina. The park transformed a once-overlooked site into a vibrant public space that celebrates the natural beauty of the Reedy River and its waterfall. Arbor led the landscape design, civil engineering, and construction management to ensure the park was carefully shaped to align with the site's natural form and environmental conditions. Native plantings, stone terraces, and pedestrian trails create a seamless connection between the city and the river. The park's signature feature is Liberty Bridge, a curved pedestrian suspension bridge offering unobstructed views of the cascading falls. Arbor's design helped reintroduce the river into the life of the city and played a pivotal role in the redevelopment of Greenville's historic West End. Today, the park is surrounded by a lively mix of shops, restaurants, hotels, and cultural venues, and serves as a gathering space for locals and visitors alike. Photo Credit: Arbor Land Design

Simpsonville Residence; Simpsonville, SC
This two-acre property was reimagined to include new outdoor living spaces. A central fire pit anchors the backyard, while a screened porch addition extends the home's livable area. A former detached garage was transformed into a game room, now paired with a covered outdoor kitchen and lounge area. A pavilion provides additional shaded space. The existing pool was fully renovated and enhanced with a custom integrated spa. A new entry gate, fencing, and lush landscaping define the property edge and establish a welcoming arrival sequence. The design also screens the owner's private garage and parking area, preserving privacy while guiding guests to the main entrance. Photo Credit: Arbor Land Design

Travelers Rest Main Street; Travelers Rest, SC
Arbor reconfigured downtown Travelers Rest, leading the overall streetscape design as well as a traffic study and new roadway layout in coordination with SCDOT. The project included hardscape design for multiple new trailside park spaces, landscape design, and pedestrian-scale lighting. Arbor's work supported a road diet and the addition of on-street parking along a key stretch of Highway 276, which runs directly through the heart of downtown. A critical component of the project was integrating the Swamp Rabbit Trail, an 18-mile-long regional greenway that connects Travelers Rest to Furman University and the city of Greenville. The streetscape enhancements established a walkable core that supports local businesses and encourages community activity. Photo Credit: Arbor Land Design

Cancer Survivors Park; Greenville, SC
Arbor partnered with the Cancer Survivors Park Alliance to transform an overgrown, overlooked site into a powerful space for hope, healing, and connection. Located along Greenville's Swamp Rabbit Trail, the park now serves as a vital link between Falls Park and Cleveland Park. The design features a series of garden rooms, natural walkways, and quiet gathering areas that offer both educational and therapeutic benefits. Native plantings respect the site's conservation easement and highlight the beauty of the local ecology. A new pedestrian bridge across the Reedy River forms the park's central spine, organizing circulation while offering dramatic views of the surrounding landscape. The entire park is fully ADA compliant. Photo Credit: Arbor Land Design
