Webinar Information Designing and living with systems: An integrative approach to residential landscape design and construction. Landscape design+build+maintain practice meets environmental science at human scale! Using a system approach we can learn effective strategies to add or magnify ecological functioning on landscapes at scale. We will identify an experimental residential landscape client and center our approach to touch on soils, hydrology, and ecology with reference landscapes. We can integrate these components to our deliverable designs and scopes of work, regardless of our marketing approach or areas of practice. Learning Objectives 1. Understand how to build ecological benefits into our landscape interventions 2. Using reference landscapes from local bioregions to influence our strategies pertaining to soils, hydrology and ecology for residential clientele. 3. Use evidence based best management practices to influence our specifications: arboriculture, water quality, erosion control and prevention as examples.
