About the Speakers:

Jodie Cook

Jodie Cook is a horticulture and landscape design consultant specializing in sustainable, watershed-friendly landscaping. She is a Green Building Council Sustainable SITES Advanced Professional, and is certified in landscape architecture, water efficiency, watershed-wise landscaping practices, fire-resilient design, and rainwater capture and harvesting. She teaches two college classes: Native Planting Design and The Sustainable Landscape, and is active in the Association of Professional Landscape Designers Fire Resilient Design initiative, and the American Society of Landscape Architects Sustainable Design and Development, and Planting Design Professional Practice Networks. Her work is featured in the American Society of Landscape Architects' national exhibit, Smart Policies for a Changing Climate and she has been interviewed on subjects related to sustainable landscaping by CNN International, Architectural Digest, the Orange County Register, the Los Angeles Times, and the Wall Street Journal.
