A ribbon-cutting ceremony was held in mid-August to mark the completion of South Riverwalk Park, part of a plan to restore the Delaware River waterfront in Trenton, New Jersey.
The $10 million project was designed by Volmer Associates LLP and constructed by the New Jersey Department of Transportation.
The park sits atop a deck covering the new Route 29 tunnel in Trenton. It encompasses a 6.5 acre, half-mile long landscaped area that includes a full-length bikeway/pedestrian walkway and esplanade; several open lawn area; three pavilions; two children?EUR??,,????'???s playgrounds; and a new riverside water feature. The park includes an historic interpretive area that illustrates the history of Trenton.
