The California Department of Parks and Recreation announce that they are offering a free webinar series based on training that was originally planned for California Trails and Greenways 2020. This series of 10 webinars is made possible thanks to our partnership with American Trails and will be provided free, including free professional learning credits, thanks to coordination with California State Parks, the California Trails Conference Foundation and other organizations. After the initial showing, the webinar will remain available for viewing on the American Trails website.

The upcoming webinar is titled: Tech on the Trail: Engaging Kids on Hiking Trails Using Technology and will be aired this Thursday, April 23, at 10:00am-11:00am Pacific (1:00pm-2:00pm Eastern). There is no charge to attend and receive learning credits.

American Trails will provide the following certified learning credits and continuing education opportunities:

• American Institute of Certified Planners Continuing Maintenance (AICP CM)

• National Recreation and Park Association (NRPA) CEU equivalency petition

• CEU equivalency petition via other acceptable organizations (inquire with American Trails)

Learning credits are included in the registration fee, free for our sponsored webinars, or a $15 fee for our free webinars without a sponsor. Our typical 90-minute webinars earn the following credits: AICP (1.5 CM), LA CES (1.5 PDH), and NRPA and other CEU equivalency petition (0.10 CEU).
