According to www.bestcolleges.org, the bachelor of landscape architecture program at the University of Florida is the #1 undergraduate landscape architecture program in the U.S. for 2018. Students in the department have opportunities to study in summer programs abroad. To graduate, the students in the five-year program must present "an independent capstone project" that showcases the culmination of their academic work.

A list compiled by www.thebestcolleges.org was recently released announcing its top 10 bachelor of landscape architect programs in the U.S. The site notes: "Populations around the globe are expanding, and these growing populations are creating a need for development while the strain of development on the natural environment and resources is creating a need for trained individuals capable of balancing both facets without causing detriment to one or the other."

The rankings were derived from data provided by colleges and universities to the National Center for Education Statistics. The program rankings were calculated using these weighted criteria: admissions rate (20%), default rate (20%), retention rate (20%), graduation rate (20%) and the percentage of students enrolled in online classes.
