Augusta, Michigan by Kat Riggsby, LASN
Near Gull Lake in Augusta, Michigan, lies a place where faith meets art. Here, on 82 acres of preserved natural beauty stands The Sanctuary, a remarkable outdoor sculpture park born from a vision to make the story of Christ's Passion not just read, but walked, felt, and lived. The project began in December 2019, when a small group of devoted lay faithful saw an opportunity in a parcel of land that seemed destined for something greater. With one year to secure the funds, 17 families came together to purchase the property.
