Torre Design Consortium designed the entry complex Teton Trek and China exhibits for the Memphis Zoo. The theatrical lighting has made the zoo climb form 400,000 guests per year to now well over 1,200,000 and become nearly operationally self-sufficient. This is due to being capable to host many after-hours events and programs in a facility that historically would have been dark after day operation hours.

 

The 2023 Lighting Issue of Landscape Architect and Specifier News saw many firms submit their projects for feature consideration. This project was not chosen for a Feature in the issue, but we at LandscapeArchitect.com thought the project deserved to be showcased online . . .
