The Cincinnati Zoo and Botanical Garden will host the third national conference on Protecting Pollinators in Urban Landscapes. The conference will be held October 7-9. The event is an opportunity for researchers, educators and practitioners to exchange information, ideas and experiences related to pollinator health and conservation in urban and ornamental landscapes. General registration costs $300, and student registration is $180. Registration closes at midnight on August 30. Attendees can go on an optional tour of three local examples of pollinator-friendly landscapes on Wednesday, October 9. The tour is $25 and can be added to the general registration at the time of purchase. The tour cost includes lunch and bus travel to each destination. Poster submission is an optional part of the registration process. If you would like to present a poster during the presentation session that will be held on Tuesday, October 8, have a poster title ready, along with a few sentences describing how the presentation would be relevant to protecting pollinators and how it is relevant to urban landscapes.
