The Michigan State University Extension will be hosting a pesticide manual review class at the Washtenaw County MSU Extension office in Ann Arbor, from 9 a.m. (EST) to 1 p.m. on December 11, 2018. The session will cover chapters 1 through 12 of the latest pesticide core manual and will place an emphasis on preparing partakers for the test by providing multiple choice practice questions. Reportedly, a ground water flow model will be presented to show how pollutants flow into the groundwater and how they affect water quality. The review is aimed at helping prepare professionals for the Michigan Department of Agriculture and Rural Development pesticide applicator exams and is completely optional. However, the class is a Michigan Agriculture Environmental Assurance Program 'phase 1' event that can be used for a farm's verification. Additionally, participants of the review session can also receive four MDARD recertification credits.Registration for the review session costs just $10, but online registration is not available. To reserve your spot, call the Washtenaw County MSU Extension office at 734-997-1678 or Ricardo Costa, MSU Extension field crops educator, at 573-639-8971.
