The Miami section of the Ohio Chapter ASLA is holding their 2018 Native Plant Symposium at the Cincinnati Zoo and Botanical Gardens. The symposium will host a roster of speakers that include professors, naturalists, landscape designers and even a specialist from the botanical gardens that serve as the location for the event. Section members are invited to attend.Two notable speakers that will make appearances at the symposium are Kelly Norris and Anna Brooks. Norris is an award-winning author and horticulturalist from Iowa and the director of horticulture and education at the Greater Des Moines Botanical Garden. Numerous local and regional media outlets have featured his work throughout the length of his career. Brooks, of Arcadia Gardens, is a top landscape designer who works mainly in southwest Michigan. Her work has also been feature by numerous regional publications. These are just two of the professional speakers that will attend the 2018 Native Plant Symposium.The event will be held November 10, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Registration is $75.
