The New York Upstate Chapter ASLA announced its 2019 Professional Design Award recipients, 2019 Practitioner & Student Award recipients, Distinguished Student Award recipients, and The Golden Gnome recipient.

The Professional Design Award acknowledges landscape architects in an effort to better familiarize the public with their activities and projects. The program recognizes projects and efforts made by individuals, firms, agencies, and academic institutions. Nominees are selected by a jury outside NYUASLA.

The Distinguished Practitioner & Student Award recognizes individuals for their achievements in practices such as academic, public, private, and student. The categories are offered on a bi-annual basis. The Lifetime Achievement Award honors an individual for their contributions to the profession during their career and is an executive committee nominated award. The Golden Gnome is NYUASLA's Annual People's Choice Award.
