NRPA Conference Statement on Safety Measures

Mask Wearing to be Enforced

he National Recreation and Park Association (NRPA) released a statement outlining their protocols for the upcoming Nashville, Tennessee conference in response to the ever evolving COVID-19 situation.

The National Recreation and Park Association (NRPA) is preparing for their September 21 through 23 conference in Nashville, Tennessee amid the evolving variants and concern for the spread of the virus. NRPA strongly encourages all in attendance, to be fully vaccinated prior to the conference.

According to the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) website, "Given what we know about the Delta variant, vaccine effectiveness, and current vaccine coverage, layered prevention strategies, such as wearing masks, are needed to reduce the transmission of this variant."

With that announcement in mind, NRPA will be following health and safety protocols on September 21 through 23 such as daily health and wellness checkpoints, face covering requirements, physical distancing in indoor spaces, and hand-sanitizing stations.
