The National Recreation and Park Association (NRPA) released a statement expressing pleasure about the recent passage of the bipartisan Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act. NRPA especially noted the importance of increased funding for the Clean Water State Revolving Fund which is the primary funding for green infrastructure projects.

 
The Clean Water State Revolving Fund is a federal and state partnership that provides communities with low-cost financing. With the passing of the $1 trillion infrastructure bill, five years of funding of $55 billion will support drinking water infrastructure.

"The passage of this bipartisan legislation represents a critical step towards addressing the current and future impacts of climate change by bolstering community resilience," NRPA Vice President of Public Policy and Advocacy, Elvis Cordova stated, "We are thrilled that Congress passed this important legislation and will continue to partner with legislators and communities to ensure the successful implementation of the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act."
