CEO of the National Recreation and Park Association (NRPA), Kristine Stratton, issue a statement regarding the standing of the association's 2021 annual conference in which she announced that they will be conducting a hybrid event. Stratton's statement began by exemplifying the success of their 2020, exclusively online conference and the confidence they've built to create a hybrid environment in Nashville this September.

 

To accomplish this feat, Stratton pointed to prioritizing the safety of attendees through the careful and thorough implementation of health and wellness procedures such as health check points, physical distancing, and face covering requirements among other safety protocols. "The 2021 NRPA Annual Conference virtual and in-person options will offer attendance opportunities that meet personal and agency budget and travel preferences," Stratton explained. "We are dedicated to the same high-quality educational programming NRPA is known for, because everyone deserves a great conference!"
