Marking the fifth year of funding to honor the late executive director of the Preservation Trust of Vermont, Paul Bruhn, this subgrant program was able to fund multiple preservation projects across rural jurisdictions.

"This National Park Service program is helping rural communities strengthen their economies through historic preservation," said NPS Director Chuck Sams. "The subgrant programs being carried out at the local level are supporting improvements to historic buildings and fostering economic development across the country."

Grants were awarded to allow state and local governments to develop programs that will contribute to economic vitality. The funding was appropriated through the Historic Preservation Fund.
