New Officers Elected at CLARB Annual Meeting

Fairfax, Virginia -- The Council of Landscape Architectural Registration Boards (CLARB) elected new officers and three regional directors to its board of directors at the organization's recent annual meeting September 10-12 in Seattle, Washington. 

Temple Barry, the new president of the CLARB Board of Directors, is president of Lakeland Associates, LLC/Barry Landscape, Inc., a Jackson, Miss.-based landscape firm. 

Mr. Barry has held leadership positions with CLARB since 1999. He earned his BA from Mississippi State University in 1975 and has been an active member of the Mississippi landscape architectural community and appointed to the Mississippi State Landscape Architecture Advisory Committee by four Mississippi governors, including Gov. Haley Barbour.

Mr. Barry served on Mississippi State University's Landscape Architecture Advisory Board for many years and has won several merit and honor awards from the Mississippi chapter of ASLA.

In an effort to increase communications with member boards and include broader perspectives in the leadership dialogue, the CLARB Board also welcomed Jenny Wilkinson, executive director of the Mississippi State Board of Architecture, as an observer during the 2009-2010 activity year.
