New Home Sales Post

The United States Census Bureau new monthly residential sales numbers show a seasonally adjusted annual rate of 800,000 for August 2025 according to estimates released in partnership with the Department of Housing and Urban Development. This marks a 20.5% uptick from July and 15.4% year-over-year.

Further, the seasonally-adjusted estimate of new home sales was 490,000 ?EUR" this marks a 7.4-month supply at the current sales rate ?EUR" but was 1.4% below the July 2025 estimate of 497,000.

According to Reuters, the U.S. new home sales jump is a three-and-a-half year high, but economists shrugged it off because the new housing data was "extremely volatile and subject to revisions."

The National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) reiterated the volatile numbers.
