Nebraska and Dakotas ASLA Conference to be Held Sept 29 - Oct 1

The Conference is Themed 'Resilience'

The Nebraska and Dakotas ASLA chapter is hosting the fall conference that will be hosted on September 29 through October 1.

This year the Nebraska and Dakotas ASLA chapter will be hosting their annual fall conference, from September 29 through October 1, 2021.

The fall conference is themed resilience after a year of being secluded through the pandemic, this conference allows "for some long overdue camaraderie and education in Rapid City, South Dakota," said ALSA Nebraska and Dakotas President, Bryan Leiniger.

The conference includes several sessions including; Grounding a Community Built on Air: Creating a Downtown for Box Elder, SD OR The Impact of the 1972 Flood on Community Planning in Rapid City (1 CEU), Small LA Firm round table - How Small Landscape Architecture Firms contribute to community resiliency (1 CEU), Landscape and Memory in Miniluzahan: Re-Envisioning Rapid City Through an Indigenous Boarding School Lands Project (1 CEU), Keynote Speaker: Pat Wyss; Wyss Associates 40th Anniversary Retrospective, Resiliency Through Tactical Placemaking: Art Alley Tour (1 CEU), Resiliency Through Strategic Placemaking: Main Street Square Tour (1 CEU), and Creating Resilient Communities Through Engagement Workshop: World Caf???(C), Environmental Scan, and Consensus Building (3 CEUs).
