New Directions in the American Landscape (NDAL), a nonprofit organization dedicated to educational programming in ecological landscape design, is offering two conferences in January. These conferences will address issues that affect the current and future realms of landscape design in America. Celebrating NDAL's 30th year of hosting such events, the annual two-day conferences are scheduled for January 10-11, 2019 at Montgomery County Community College in Blue Bell, Pa., and January 17-18, 2019 at Connecticut College in New London, Conn. Both conferences will cover the same material and feature the same speakersConference speakers will include Chad Adams of Ground Plan Studio, John Swallow of Pine and Swallow Environmental and Tama Matsuoka Wong of Meadows and More. The event will reflect on the way the role of the landscape architect has evolved in the last thirty years, as well as look forward to new directions for the profession.
