As National Water Safety Month comes to a close, and families prepare for summer recreational water activities, it is vital to ensure safety continues to be a priority. National Water Safety Month campaign supporters offer these tips and reminders about safe water practices that can be implemented as people take to the water to cool down and have fun all summer long. • Learn to swim no matter your age. • Always swim in designated areas supervised by lifeguards and actively supervise children whenever around water. Do not participate in any distracting activities while supervising children swimming or playing in water. Remember, if your child is in the water, you should be too.
