Equitable Enforcement of COVID-19 Public Health Orders
At 1:00 PM ET, the NLC and ChangeLab Solutions will present a virtual roundtable on the equity implications of enforcing quarantine and isolation orders and how the enforcement of public health measures can minimize harms to underserved communities including communities of color and unhoused people. City Leaders Supporting Access to Nature During the Pandemic
Then at 3:30 PM ET a participatory discussion will take place with leaders from the cities of Houston and Seattle, the Children & Nature Network, National League of Cities, City Parks Alliance and National Recreation and Parks Association as leaders seek to balance the need for access to nature while addressing public health concerns and physical distancing. And finally at 7:00 PM ET, National League of Cities CEO and executive director Clarence E. Anthony will join health and finance experts for a live tele-town hall with tens of thousands of AARP members for a conversation focused on why some communities and populations are being hit harder by the pandemic and what local leaders are doing in response.
