As an addition to the landscape renovation of the mall, Simon Property Group wanted to create a gathering space to hold events for customers. Reconfigured planters and artificial turf provide an extremely successful people space that hosts concerts and events on a weekly basis.

As a premier hotel for Disneyland and Convention Center attendees, the client wanted to reimage the Porte cochere to create a new look with the feel of a grand residential entry that would set the property apart from surrounding properties. Large areas of turf were removed and converted to planting areas. Water-wise plant materials, including date palms, agaves, and specimen succulents were set in bands of colorful groundcovers including tumbled glass and granite.

We are a division of Mission Landscape Companies, a full service landscape company also based in Irvine, with principals Rocco M. Campanozzi, vice president, and Jerri Pick, director of design. MLA's talented staff of 12 includes three licensed landscape architects, five landscape designers and project managers, and an outstanding support staff specializing in CAD, graphics, and construction administration.
Currently, the primary focus of our work is reinvestment projects at existing properties including hospitality, multi-family communities, office campuses, and retail centers. New construction projects include single-family residences, educational facilities, multi-family apartments, condominiums, and luxury car dealerships. In the past four years, we have also become very involved in the development of highly successful outdoor creative office spaces, providing the latest in outdoor amenities, including furnishings, for our office property clients.
