A Practical Approach to Tree Preservation by Staff
Webinar Description: While the successful preservation of trees is a noble endeavor, it takes more time, money and effort than most people realize. The reasons for, techniques used and outcomes resulting from these efforts can vary from project to project. Some trees are not necessarily worthy of the expense and efforts of true preservation. In this program, Mr. Gibney will demonstrate the pre-project skills needed to determine whether tree preservation is safe, practical and can be accomplished. He will show through case studies, different techniques for tree preservation, new technology in preservation and alternatives to traditional attitudes about the preservation of trees. Richard Gibney Gibney Design LA PC provides consultation in the fields of landscape architecture, horticulture, arboriculture, site planning, LEED design, erosion control and wetlands design. Our projects include municipal, residential, commercial and institutional sites throughout Long Island and the tri-state area. We have experience in specialty projects including sustainable design, private clubs, recreation facilities and memorial gardens. Richard has been hired as an expert witness for several insurance companies and attorneys. He has been accepted as an expert in several court cases in Nassau and Suffolk Counties.
