Since 1972, Pro Care Horticultural Services has built a heritage of excellence in design-build landscapes and maintenance, from small projects to large residential and commercial work. This is a family owned business of three designers, including landscape architect Bobby Belt, 50 employees and a handful of strategic partners that allows the firm to meet all client needs, from design through installation and maintenance services. Zionsville, Indiana Residence The work here began to mitigate the subdivision's stormwater, about half of which ran through the homeowner's backyard. Work then shifted to the patio, kitchenette, tree house and fire pits, then moved to the pool. Later work included moving water on demand to the central swale/dry steam bed; construction of a pergola; adding a Keggerator "Green Egg" and motorized louver roof to the kitchenette; and most recently, the addition of a detached garage with storage and bathrooms and changing areas to serve the patio and pool areas. All of this was incorporated into the original design overview. Residential Roof Top Garden, Indianapolis, Ind. This project was originally designed to create a private garden for a tenant whose home opened directly onto this particular rooftop level. This level also was to serve the other building residents as a common area. As the project developed a decision was made to open the private garden area so that all could enjoy the entire space. Atypical roof plantings where chosen to add more colors and textures. Custom wood planters and aluminum elements with Sunbrella fabric where added for a contemporary feel. Beth-El Zedeck Temple, Indianapolis Pro Care Horticultural Services was tasked with creating a fresh new landscape for the Beth-El Zedeck Temple, which was constructed in 1958, and remodeled in 2002. This project included the addition of a pond, landscape lighting and areas where congregants could incorporate memorial gardens of the firm's design for deceased loved ones. The roots of the Beth-El Zedeck congregation were the immigration of Hungarian Jews to Market Street in Indianapolis in the late 1880s. Greenwood, Indiana Residence This was a phased-in project where multiple areas of interest for the front and back yard where required to give the homeowners multifaceted and interesting views no matter which direction they looked. Carmel, Indiana Residence The new owners of a house that Pro Care Horticultural Services had designed 16 years previously asked the firm to redesign the backyard. The original design included a pool house and spa. The client requested removing the old free-form liner pool and reuse parts of the pool house in a much larger more all encompassing way, and then design and construct a new gunite pool with an auto cover.
