The American Society of Landscape Architects (ASLA) members in Colorado, Georgia, Illinois, Kansas, Kentucky, Maryland, Nevada, Pennsylvania, and Washington recently had governors declare April as Landscape Architecture Month and mayors declare April 26 as Frederick Law Olmsted Day.

 

The state proclamations help make education on landscape architecture's technical substance and public significance. This move also helps educate policy makers and lay the foundation for legislative opportunities that advances the profession.
