Iowa State University Alum Receives Design Honor

J. Jade Liska

J. Jade Liska was born in St. Paul Park/Cottage Grove, Minnesota, completed high school in Manchester, Iowa, and received a Bachelor of Landscape Architecture from Iowa State in 1994, according to the Iowa State University, College of Design's newsletter.

The past president, trustee and current member of Prairie Gateway ASLA, J. Jade Liska accepted the 2019 Design Achievement Award presented by the Iowa State University College of Design. The accolade acknowledges outstanding creative and professional achievements of alumni from all of the college's disciplines including landscape architecture. Liska is currently the deputy director of the Kansas City Aviation Department of Planning and Engineering Division.

A current project of his is the $1.5 billion new passenger terminal at Kansas City International Airport, where as the project manager, Liska is coordinating with design, construction and airport teams to help ensure a project completion date of 2023.
