The ASLA Iowa chapter will host an ASLA-exclusive legislative breakfast in the south and west wings and the first floor rotunda of the Iowa State Capitol Building on February 19, 7-9 a.m. During the event, Iowan landscape architects will have the opportunity to speak with legislators one on one and discuss the importance of the landscape architectural profession. Attending firm representatives should bring display boards and easels to showcase important and impressive projects to legislators. It is recommended that at least two representatives from each firm attend the event in order to set up displays and fully explain projects, but more representatives may come. Only one ticket is required per firm. Students are encouraged to attend and may also bring examples work to display alongside the firms. The event is free, but attendees must register online by February 13. Complimentary coffee, juice and pastries will be served during the event. To learn more about the legislative breakfast and to register for the event, visit https://tinyurl.com/yb8ldkqu.
