The Idaho/Montana ASLA Chapter(https://landscapearchitect.com/industry/index-result-a.php?uid=0&type_event=meeting&action=search&search=acronym&acro=4484) has issued a call for speakers for its annual IMASLA Rendezvous, which will take place in Boise on May 16-18, 2019. The theme of the event will be "Grow."Seminar speakers should have a background in academia or extensive field experience. While vendors with experience are also encouraged to apply to speak at the conference, they are still required to purchase a booth, but the rate will be discounted.IMASLA is looking for seminars on any subject that would benefit landscape architect professionals and students. Some topic suggestions given by the association include: Lands and Cultural Preservation, Water Conservation, Designing Evolving Landscapes, Professional & Personal Development and Financing/Funding Growth. Each session should total one hour in length, and the IMASLA website suggests that speakers should plan to speak for about 50 minutes, leaving enough time to answer audience questions.Speaker proposals are due by Friday, November 16, and should be submitted to IMASLA executive director, Teri Ottens. Her email address is tottens@amsidaho.com.To learn more about how to submit a seminar proposal for the 2019 IMASLA Rendezvous, visit https://tinyurl.com/yba4ez7r.
