$1 Trillion Bipartisan Infrastructure Bill Advanced by
The House approved a $3.5 trillion bipartisan budget bill on August 24, 2021 in a 220-212 party vote, breaking the stalemate. The vote allows Democrats the ability to write and approve a spending package that would encompass environmental, family, and education issues without Republican support while also moving the infrastructure plan approved by the Senate through the House and to the President's desk. This bill package includes major climate legislation that would fight climate change events like drought and fires.
