Fredrick Law Olmsted's bicentennial birthday is being celebrated across the country to commemorate his work in the industry. Central Park was originally designed by Olmsted as the Chief Architect of Central Park.

To honor Fredrick Law Olmsted's bicentennial birthday, the Utah ASLA chapter will be hosting an event at the Red Butte Garden at the University of Utah on April 26th from 5 to 7 p.m. This event is one of many events celebrating the important work he accomplished and his ideas that are still practiced.

The Red Butte Garden and the Salt Lake City Garden Club is hosting the evening event to teach about Fredrick Law Olmsted's work within the Landscape Architecture industry.

The celebration will feature lectures from AIA Fellow, David L. Hart and Cynthia Bee, award-winning public speaker and sustainable landscape expert.

Registration is required and costs $35 for the general public and $30 for Garden Members.
