Florida Commissioner Announced as Featured Speaker for 2017 Water Summit
The Summit Will take Place in Orlando Florida along with the 2017 Irrigation Show and Education Conference.

The Irrigation Association is devoted to promoting irrigation technology and educating the public on water management.

Adam Putner, commissioner of the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services, will be the featured speaker at the Irrigation Association's 2017 Water Summit.

"A friend of both the agricultural and landscape industries, the commissioner has a great perspective on the importance of water use and management in Florida," said Irrigation Association's government and public affairs director John Farner.

The summit will be held on Nov. 10 alongside the 2017 Irrigation Show and Education Conference in Orlando, Florida.

"The IA's water summit is our opportunity to talk about how irrigation provides solutions, rather than problems," Farner said.

The summit will feature two panels with experts in landscape and agriculture irrigation. One will focus on sustainability and the other on water problems.

This is the third year the Irrigation Association has held a summit on water usage.

The association will also be broadcasting its "Bringing Water to Life" podcast at the conference and recording it in front of a live audience.

"Bringing Water to Life is all about telling a story about water through the eyes of irrigation in an entertaining style," Farner said.
