Establish $25,000 Endowment for the Ron Naus Memorial Scholarship

The $25,000 endowment will fund the Ron Naus Memorial Scholarship, the first engineering scholarship fund by the local IES organization to an incoming recipient to the Lyles College of Engineering at Fresno State University.

B-K Lighting and TEKA Illumination partnered with Illuminating Engineering Society Fresno Yosemite to establish a $25,000 endowment for the Lyles College of Engineering at California State University, Fresno.

Lyles College is a step closer to offering a scholarship to an outstanding student with a $25,000 endowment from the Illuminating Engineering Society Fresno Yosemite and B-K Lighting.

"B-K Lighting's scholarship endowment set up in honor of Ron Naus is a great investment in the education of students from our region pursuing electrical engineering degrees," said Dean Ram Nunna. "We are grateful for this support."

"The local Fresno Yosemite IES is honored to make this significant contribution to the Lyles College of Engineering in remembrance of our fallen leader, Ron Naus, former president of B-K Lighting. His commitment to educating associates within his industry was fundamental to his professional goals." said Mike Morris, president of the IES Fresno Yosemite Section. "This endowment will represent his testament by supporting engineering students on the Fresno State campus for decades to come."

Facts on the endowment: gift was made to the California State University, Fresno Foundation; the endowment will fund a scholarship in perpetuity; scholarship will be awarded to students majoring in electrical engineering with a GPA of 2.5 or higher who graduated from a local high school, student recipient will be selected by faculty at the Lyles College of Engineering.
