The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency is seeking approximately $1.5 million in penalties in separate complaints against Topaz Turf Corp. of Holtsville, N.Y., and Southern Chemical Supply Inc. of Bohemia, N.Y.
The company?EUR??,,????'???s products drew complaints in Montana and other states for multiple violations including unregistered and mislabeled chemicals, according to a news release from the Montana Department of Agriculture.
Leonard Berry, program manager of the Montana Agriculture Department, said that his agency provided information to the state of New York and EPA officials in each of the past four years regarding fraudulent claims attributed to products identified as SK-132 and TK-10.
