Enter the Green Star Awards for Maintenance
44th Annual Professional Grounds Management Awards

The Professional Grounds Management Society, an organization for grounds professionals, is accepting entries into the Green Star Awards program through July 29.

The Professional Grounds Management Society (PGMS) is looking to honor the country's best-maintained landscapes for the 44th annual Green Star Awards.

The Green Star Professional Grounds Management Awards program brings national recognition to grounds manicured with a high degree of excellence, recognizes individual professional efforts that bring about high maintenance standards and high quality landscapes, and challenges maintenance professionals to achieve a higher level of excellence.

To qualify, a landscape must be at least two years old and under the applicant's continuous maintenance for at least two years. Submissions must be in PowerPoint form, no greater than 30MB, exactly 28 slides with 26 photos, and submitted on the PGMS website. A downloadable PowerPoint template is available to make sure applicants follow the guidelines. Those who fail to meet the application criteria will be notified in a timely manner and given a grace period of five working days to correct errors and resubmit.

Submissions are due by July 29 at 5 p.m. EST.

The entry fee is $150 for PGMS members and $225 for nonmembers. Nonmembers who wish to both enter the contest and join the association may do so at a reduced rate of $275. Entries submitted after the deadline will have an additional $50 late fee.

Landscapes may be entered in multiple categories, but entries must be submitted individually in each category, and the fee is required each time.

Award winners will be honored at the PGMS School of Grounds Management in conjunction with the GIE+EXPO in Louisville, Ky., October 19-22.
