The United States Department of Transportation's Federal Highway Administration announced the approval of the Biden Administration's Electric Vehicle Infrastructure Deployment Plan for all 50 states, the District of Colombia, and Puerto Rico. These plans are part of the National Electric Vehicle Infrastructure (NEVI) Formula Program which was established through the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act. There is $1.5 billion in funding through NEVI for all the states to build electric vehicle chargers across 75,000 miles throughout the country. NEVI also makes $5 billion available over five years to help build a convenient, reliable, and affordable electric vehicle charging network.
