Each year, the Irrigation Foundation holds a Faculty Academy for educators at high schools and 2-year and 4-year institutions to share the latest irrigation technologies and techniques. The Faculty Academy is free to attend, and grant assistance to aid with travel expenses is available on a first-come, first-served basis. This year, the Landscape Faculty Academy will take place June 15-16 at Disney World Horticulture Services, Orlando, Fla. The two-day event will consist of networking and learning about irrigation-related curriculum that can be used in the classroom. Sessions include Anatomy of an Irrigation System, Design Capacity, Drip Conversion, Pipe Sizing, Pressure Regulation, and tours of Epcot and Animal Kingdom parks. CEUs are available for attendees.
